The first thing I knew I wanted for Baby Richie’s nursery was a nursery glider. It’s the most important piece of furniture in the nursery, second only to a breathable mattress and sturdy crib. I also knew both Donté and I would be spending a lot of time on the glider feeding, soothing, and rocking our baby to sleep.
We wanted to invest in a reliable product that would take us not only through this first pregnancy, but the subsequent ones too (we love a good hammy down!). After seeing many testimonials on the gram, I recently got The Glider from Nurture& and wanted to share an honest review of my experience so far.

5 Things I LOVE About The Glider:
#1 The MOST Comfortable! (Rating: 5/5)
Y’all, this glider is COM-FOR-TA-BLE!!! Wow. From the minute I sat down on it after putting it together I was impressed. It instantly molded to my body! I then had Donté try it and it was hard getting the man off it. I’ve already caught him in the nursery lounging on the glider – safe to say we’ll be competing for seating time.
Design wise, I love how supported I feel from my neck and shoulders all the way down to my legs. Even the chairarms are thoughtfully designed. I truly feel like the glider will help me achieve the best ergonomic position possible.
#2 Automated Lumbar Support (Rating: 5/5)
As if comfort wasn’t enough, The Glider is the only glider I could find that had automated lumbar support, allowing me to control the amount of lower back support via the power control on the side. I don’t have much use for it at the moment, BUT I’ve been told by a lot of breastfeeding mamas that breastfeeding takes a toll on the body – especially while looking down at baby – so I trust this feature will be super beneficial. I told my chiropractor about this feature and she was thrilled to hear how well supported my neck will be.
#3 Stain-Resistant Fabric (Rating: 10/5)
Ok, so this was a really important feature for me because 1) I LOVE MY NEUTRALS and 2) I spill everything. If my son takes after me, this will be double the trouble. I needed a glider that would stand the test of both mine and baby’s messes. That said, stain-resistant fabric is really the only solution to marrying my color preferences with my family’s lifestyle and needs. The Glider comes in a beautiful Ivory and Gray – both of which are made in stain-resistant fabric.
This was music to my ears knowing that all I’ll need to do to clean up messes is dampen a cloth and wipe away!

#4 Smooth Glide and Swivel (Rating: 5/5)
Not all gliders are created equally and having one that provides a smooth gliding experience is key. For first time moms, as an FYI, this is a great feature so that you won’t have to disrupt baby’s sleep after getting up from the glider. No one wants to wake a baby by a jolty movement or annoying creaking sound! The Glider has a smooth glide that will allow me to gently rock Baby Richie to sleep and then smoothly transfer him to his crib. And I love the swivel feature. This glider does it ALL!
#5 Built-In USB Charger (Rating: 5/5)
The Glider comes with a built-in USB charging port, and I must say, it is such a nice bonus feature I didn’t think I would need. I know I’m bound to spend countless hours on the glider with my baby, and I’m sure much of that time I’ll either be scrolling through my phone or FaceTiming my family to see Baby Richie, so I’ll need to make sure my phone has a decent battery life at all times. Happy I won’t have to get an extension cord and can rely on the built-in USB charger.

Truthfully, I’m really happy with The Glider. From the minute I saw it in an Instagram Ad, I knew I had to have it. And it has not disappointed! I will say, it may not be as budget-friendly for all, but given all the features and durability, I think it is well worth the investment! That said, if The Glider is out of your price range, Nurture& does make some amazing, lower-priced models that are worth considering.
I cannot wait to finish building out the rest of Baby Richie’s nursery and soon rocking my precious boy on The Glider.
Stay tuned for Part 2 of the nursery reveal.
